MRI

Tanner's MRI on her knee is scheduled for Friday at 10:30. They will put her in feet first and it depends on her height whether or not her head will be in there. They have satellite music for her to listen to while she's in there (thanks Mom for telling me to ask them about that-I didn't know they did such things!) and I will be able to be in there with her.

After her scan she and I are going to go to the Fayetteville Bike Shop and order her new bike that she won several months ago. That will be fun, I know.

We go back to see Dr. Griffey on Tuesday the 9th at 3:00 to find out the results and the plan of treatment.

Her Dad and I talked today and decided that as long as the Dr. says surgery is needed immediately, then we will let her go ahead and go to church camp in Florida the week of June 21. If the Dr says she needs surgery immediately (which I don't think will be the case) then of course we'll do the surgery instead of going to camp. We want Tanner to feel like she gets to do something fun this summer and she really has been very excited about going to camp.

My two big concerns coming into all this was that she still be able to walk down the aisle in "The Wedding of the Century" and that with the summer visitation schedule, I wanted Tanner to be able to come home with me after any surgery. Mike and I talked about those two things today and he's agreed to switch around his visitation time if needed so that she can come home here after the surgery. As far as being in "The Wedding of the Century" we should have a better idea on Tuesday after talking to the Dr.

Please keep praying for her and us. Though she can bend her knee a little more and put slight pressure on it, she still complains that it hurts, it's still swollen and she still can't bear her weight on it.

Thanks!

Shelly,
I've had 3 MRI's. Two on my head, but the last one was on my shin. I am 5'1" and most of my torso was out of the "machine". I actually took a book to read, so if she likes to read you might want to take one for her, just in case.

I'll be praying for you guys and I'm sure you'll keep us informed.

Love You!
