2:00 a.m.

I so cleverly (insert sarcasm there please) named this post 2:00a.m. because it's just that-2:00 in the stinking morning! GRRR!!!

Love my hubby to death, but my word, the man's got sleeping issues, I'm telling you! Until he falls into the REM stage of sleep the man twitches and moves almost constantly. Not just his legs-his entire body jerks and twitches. I've told him before it makes me think of mini seizures or something like that. Usually, I fall asleep before he does then it doesn't bother me and we all sleep happily ever after. On the rare occasion that he falls asleep first-yea, there is no shut eye for me for quite awhile unless I go somewhere else. Dude can't help it, I know, but for the love of Pete, it drives me nuts! I'm not sure what is worse-the snoring or the twitching!!!

Now that I've griped about the poor, twitching man, let me tell you how wonderful he is. I have five girlfriends that I run around with (one being Jill, Tanner's step mom...I know weird, but it works) on a regular basis. I met these five girls through Jill, actually, several years ago. We are all HuGe into the tv shows The Bachelor (sad, huh?) and The Bachelorette. Over the last few years, we'd all get together at someones house throughout the season and have watch parties. If we aren't together watching it, we are all on the phones calling each other during the commercials!!! It really is an addiction, I must admit.

So anyway, last season, we had a watch party here at the house and my hubby spoiled us girls plum rotten! He cooked, he cleaned, he served, he mixed drinks...he was quite the man and we LOVED it! Though our parties are always fun, they are most fun when 'ole Martha Parker/Stevie Stewart is involved!

Tonight was the premiere of this seasons Bachelor. Oh and it's gonna be a great one!!! We invited the girls over and Martha Parker/Stevie Stewart went to work. Let me just tell you what the man made for us this time-sweet/sour meatballs, homemade guac and chips, bacon wrapped little smokies, homemade stromboli, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake bars, chocolate covered popcorn with M&M's and strawberry margarita's. Can you believe that! Jill also brought a scrumptious dip for crackers. I wish I had taken a picture of not only the food, but us gorging ourselves on it! Oh my granny, it was some darn good stuff!!!

Besides the food, we had such a great time. I love these girls to death. I told Steve after everyone left, that it's so nice to have some good girlfriends again. These girls are all good Christian women who have strong Christian backgrounds and faith. They are so non-judgemental, so accepting and so dang sweet! We can laugh so hard we cry but yet we can be serious and have deep conversations as well. If someone is hurting or needs something-the others step in and help. Several years ago, literally, all my good girlfriends moved away from here. I was so sad and lonely for awhile! (not exaggerating here folks) Not anymore though. I finally feel like I have good, strong Christian girlfriends and fellow Moms again. And oh what a good feeling that is!!

By time the girls were leaving, Steve had the food put away (and even sent a few leftovers with some!), the dishwasher loaded and the kitchen cleaned. I didn't have to do a thing.

So I guess if I'm gonna get spoiled like that, I can take the twitching in return. ;)

Well, he should be about done twitching by now, so maybe I'll go back into bed and try going to sleep again. Today is my first day back to work in two weeks which means no more sleeping in at our house until the weekend hits. Oh well, it's just sleep.

I love you honey-thank you for all you do.....for spoiling not just me, but Tanner and my girlfriends as well! Your the best!
