Just a quick note to tell you that Tanner is having such a good time on her trip! She's had a few obstacles to overcome-her knee is "killing her" (good thing I sent plenty of Aleve, Tylenol and her knee brace!), she started her period yesterday (sorry to any man for reading that) and then she's also got an "ugly lip" thanks to a cold sore that popped up Tuesday. My girl is a strong girl though and she's overcoming it all. She is dead tired and really needs a couple of nights of good sleep, but she's making the best of it.

They are in the process of leaving Washington DC and are on their way to Ft. McHenry in Baltimore, MD. They will tour Ft. McHenry and then will tour the USS Constellation, which is docked at Pier 1 in Baltimore Harbor. They'll then go to Valley Forge, PA for the night. They get to go see a play tonight.

Tomorrow is Philly and Saturday is the funny of Gettysburg stuff. They'll leave out there around 5:00 Saturday night and drive straight through the night again. Hopefully they'll be home around 5:00 Sunday night, though if anything like the drive out there, it will be more like 9:00 when they get back here.

I do have to brag a bit. Tanner has bought something for each one of us in her family while on this trip. We didn't ask her to do that or even suggest it. She came up with it on her own. She's told me what everyone's is (except mine of course) and it isn't anything major, but it just warms my heart to know that she's thought of others, not just herself. She's going to "wrap everything and give it for Christmas gifts." I have a feeling she'll get too excited though and want to show us when she gets home. :)

I'm so glad she's having so much fun and can't wait for her to get home!
