Tuesday

Thankfully, Steve and I are feeling better after being so sick last week. I think my antibiotics finally kicked in yesterday, which was a welcomed change! I woke up today and didn't feel nearly as snotty as I have the past week-praise God!

Today is going to be a long day. Tuesdays always are. It should only be this way though through the rest of this month and then things will slow down.

Tanner has speech on Tuesdays, but she only has a couple more weeks and then she'll be completely done. We have had such a wonderful experience and have been blessed through her speech therapy. Her therapist is awesome and has become a dear friend of mine. We can really tell that Tanner's tongue thrust has basically stopped and that she has really put to use what she's learned. Yay!

Tanner leaves on her Williamsburg/Jamesport trip a month from tomorrow. They've been having classes at school on Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30 for the 55 kids from the Springdale school district that are going. I think Tanner has learned a ton and has really enjoyed the stuff that she's learned. She doesn't seem quite as apprehensive (she's not the best at being away from home) about going like she was in the beginning. On Friday the kids go to "Five Mile Camp" (somewhere in the Joplin area) and will meet up with the other kids from Kansas that will be going with them, along with the man who is paying for all of this. Tanner is really excited about-this will give the kids a small peak into what the trip itself will be like next month.

Steve is supposed to start working some special case at some point this week. Not sure how long the case lasts-it all depends-but he'll be working nights and weekends for awhile. It stinks that we won't get to see him much (although he's still going to take Tanner to school every day-he loves doing that!) and that he won't get to go home with us at Thanksgiving, but that's part of the job, so you do what you have to do.

I need to get off of here and get breakfast and lunches fixed and finish getting myself ready. I just heard Tanner's door open, so she's up.......................
