Weekend Wrap Up (A Day Late)

It was a very productive weekend at our house.

Saturday, we cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. And then we cleaned some more. I think all three of us got in on the action! Our house hasn't been scrubbed top to bottom like that in months. And boy it sure felt good afterwards! When we finally sat down Saturday night, we were done for the weekend-all our chores were done, including laundry!

Sunday was a busy day, interrupted by another dang migraine. Not sure what that's about, but that's another post.

Steve and I went to church Sunday morning at our church and then left early to go get Tanner at her Dad's church. They had a sleep over the night before, so she went to big church there. We picked her up and then headed to Joe and Kaye's house. Two of the girls from church were getting baptized! Since we don't have a baptismal, we baptize in Joe and Kaye's hot tub!

Joe, also known as Emril, fixed everyone lunch and after the baptisms we ate and just hung out for awhile. It was a nice time. I thought for sure my eyeball was going to fall right out of my head, but thankfully it didn't.

After lunch we came home and Tanner and I crashed on the couch. She slept for an hour and a half, I slept for about four hours. I don't think I got off the couch much at all yesterday. My head just wouldn't quit hurting!

Tanner went to bed at 8:30 (she goes to bed 1/2 hour earlier than normal on Sundays-it just starts the week off on a better note!) and I followed shortly there after.

Today has been better. Just a slight headache, thankfully. We are all sitting here in the living room watching the "CMA Music Festival" and singing along to a bunch of country songs. The doors are open, there is a cool breeze blowing and let me tell you, life seems pretty peaceful right now.

I love it.

Note: to answer Julie and Annette's question about the previous post-Mike took the joke rather well and laughed quite a bit about it. Tanner was talking to him on the phone Saturday afternoon and we told her to tell him that "Jose" said "hi." He laughed and said "I don't want to talk about it." HA!
