Help

Ok friends and family.

I need help.

Our house has been invaded by fruit flies or some sort.

I hate it. It makes me feel dirty and icky.

And people who know me well know that I keep my house very clean. I'm a clean freak. So it's not that my house is dirty and nasty......that's why I don't understand why I can't get rid of these things!

I put out three bowls of vinegar (with a banana floating in it) out, complete with saran wrap and holes poked in the top. That's killed a few of them. But there are still LOTS more.

So what do I do to get rid of these things?

I put my fruit in the refrigerator. There is no food whatsoever on my cabinets. I've taken out our trash. Crap, there were even some in the bathroom this morning and I'm sitting here in the living room with just a lamp on and they are swaming there!!!

Do you think bug bombing my house would work? (Of course I'd have to convince my husband to do that-he's not much on the whole bug bomb thing) Have any other suggestions???

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, don't have any tricks myself. Have you "googled" how to get rid of fruit flies?

Hope you find something that works!

years ago a bug man told me the live and lay eggs in standing water. ie- ice drip pans (if they still have those) and the water pipes under your sink and the ones from the bath. He told me to pour some bleach down all the drains and leave it for awhile.

Ok; we just had that happen here... and I thought they were fruit flies... but it turned out we had a pipe leaking in our master bathroom - UPSTAIRS. We took care of the leak and the flies are gone (even though I always have fruit sitting on my kitchen table). You might want to take a REALLY good look around your bathroom. Are there any water spots anywhere? do you HEAR water dripping anywhere (in the walls?) Ours was in a wall between our bathroom and closet; praise God we found it! Hope you figure it out soon! I TOTALLY feel your frustration!
