Just an Update

Quick update:

Father's Day was good. I missed my Daddy and my Grandpa's. Since we celebrated with Steve and Tanner last weekend while she was with us, we didn't do much yesterday at all.

Tanner left last night (with over 500 other kids) for camp at the beech. They are in Panama City, Florida for the week. What was supposed to be a 14 1/2 hour trip turned into 19 hours and they finally arrived around 3:30 this afternoon.

Tanner had a rough time leaving. She always does. Usually once she gets on the road though and once she gets wherever she's going, she's fine. I'm crossing my fingers that this holds true this time as well. Between her knee bothering her and her "girly time" bothering her, I think she was already a tad overwhelmed before they even loaded the bus. I've started following several of the youth sponsors on twitter and that's been fun to see what they are doing-I just wish they updated more!

Tanner's texted a lot and called a couple of times. I'm praying super hard that God will touch her heart in a way that only He can. I pray that Tanner relaxes and has fun and that tonight she will get a good nights sleep so that tomorrow is a brighter day. Tanner only knows about two or three kids out of the 500+ that went. I'm also praying that she's able to find someone her age to hang with and become friends with. If you have a minute, would you mind lifting my girl up as well?

I'm tired and worn out myself. We didn't get much sleep here last night. I'm sitting on the bed right now watching "The Bachelorette" and am planning on hitting the sack as soon as it's over (and as soon as I hear from Tanner of course!).

'Night!
