These pictures are from the processional for Officer Craig Chastain. I've never been apart of or seen such a moving tribute to someone. I'm telling you, it was "give you goose bumps" awesome. What a cool thing to be apart of and to witness. Traffic was stopped both ways and officers from the different surrounding agencies parked in the outside lane and in the turn lane, leaving the inside lane open. We got out of our cars and saluted as Sgt. Kirmer drove Chastain's car carrying his wife and sons, through the street to the funeral home. I can't put into words how moving it was. After the parade of SPD patrol cars went through, those parked along the road fell in behind them and followed them to the funeral home. I've never seen so many lights going. Citizens who were stopped in traffic even got out of their cars and saluted. It was awesome. There is no doubt in my mind that Chastain was grinning from ear to ear as he watched from heaven.
