I recorded the news last night to see what kind of coverage they did on the pancake breakfast. Well this morning, I was watching it as Tanner was getting ready (the DVR is in her room). They did a great little spot on the breakfast and told people that they could still donate by calling the Police Department.
I turned off the DVR and went to the kitchen to do something. A few minutes later, Tanner comes in with a wad of dollar bills in her hand. She hands them to me and says "Here Mom, would you please put this in the donation box for the Chastains?"
My heart melted.
She said "It's only $5.00 but that will still help some, right? I prayed for him last night and wanted to help."
She never ceases to amaze me. I'm so proud of my girl.
