Betty Jo "Becky" Golden

Betty Jo "Becky" Golden, 81, of Kansas City, Kan., died Sunday, October 12, 2008, at home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 17, at the Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th St., Kansas City, Kan.; burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday at the Stony Point Christian Church. The family suggests contributions to the church. Mrs. Golden was born July 14, 1927, in Kansas City, Kan., and was a lifelong resident. She retired as a teller from Tower Bank and had also worked as a retail clerk at the Leader Clothing Company. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Claude M. "Bud" Golden, on August 17, 2008. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Linda and Dennis Wistrom, Claudia and Dale Underwood and Kenneth and Patti Golden, all of Kansas City, Kan., Gary and Arlene Roberts of Enid, Okla., Janece and Joe Crosthwait of Joplin, Mo., and Dan and Christa Golden of Shawnee, Kan.; her sister, Mikki Donald, Kansas City, Kan.; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
