Matt got released from the hospital today. Crazy, right?! The boy almost dies in a car wreck twelve days ago and he's already released from the hospital! I told you we Golden's are tough, didn't I?
He's doing ok. Physically, his wounds are healing, slowly but surely. Mentally and emotionally, yea, he's got a ways to go. He'll go to Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, Speech therapy and also to some Brain Institute to help him with the brain injury. Like I said, he's got a ways to go, but PrAiSe GoD he's alive and out of the hospital!!
Please keep him and his wife Tammy, in your prayers. Matt is only getting half of his paycheck through workman's comp. Even though this happened on duty and wasn't his fault, he only gets half a paycheck. Doesn't seem fair to me, but what I think doesn't matter. He has to have someone with him round the clock for the next four weeks, which means Tammy isn't going to be working much, if any. There goes her paycheck. If she were to take FMLA, she wouldn't lose her job, but she wouldn't bring home any money and they'd have to pay for insurance. So it's kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't. Finances were already tight for them. Please just keep them in your prayers.
I'm exhausted. I think I'm going to go lay down and take a nap. MMM................sleep!
