Ok, first the good news...........when I went in to give Steve his "morning feeding" (a.k.a his 7:00 ibuprofen dose) he was sleeping on his side! YAY!!!! Steve has always slept on his side. Ever since the surgery though, he's not been able to. He's tried numerous times, but it never felt comfortable. Well by golly, not today! He figured out that if you put a pillow between your legs it relieves the pressure just enough to be able to be comfortable. YAY PROGRESS!!!
Tanner is in Kansas City now with Mike's Dad and Step-Mom. They've been in Oklahoma at the lake since Saturday for a family reunion and then Tanner went back to KC with her Grandpa Doug and Nana. She called me three times yesterday. Bless her heart. I know she's having fun and she'll be fine, but at the same time, I know she's not the biggest fan of being away. This morning on my way to work she called me and said she was doing her "morning phone calls" before her and Grandpa, along with her cousin Dalton, go fishing. It cracks me up because Mike's niece (who is 14 or 15) and nephew (who is 11 or 12) are there too. The niece is going shopping with Nana while Dalton and Tanner go fishing with Grandpa. I asked Tanner if she'd rather go shopping and she's like "NO!" That's my prissy tomboy for ya! Gotta love her!
My Grandpa is in the hospital again. They put him in on Monday, which was Grandma's birthday. He just finished his third round of chemo on Saturday and when he went to get his blood checked on Monday, he was running a 102 degree temp. They gave him a bag of blood and a bag of platelets and sent him to the hospital to be admitted. They've got him on heavy duty iv antibiotics right now. I guess he's pretty darn grouchy and seems to be depressed as well. I called him to check on him yesterday morning and he fell asleep while we were talking. Too funny. When I talked to Mom this morning she said my Grandma had called my Dad and wanted him to go check on him because Grandpa called and said he had fallen, but was ok. Knowing Grandpa he didn't tell the nurses he fell, he just got up and called my Grandma. The goober! So Dad was going to check on him and is supposed to call to let us know what's going on.
I suppose I should get to work. I'm going out to the ballpark today to watch the Naturals (our town's minor league team) play. I've got several things to do though before I go, so I better get busy.
Have a great day!

Glad the hubs is doing better! And I'm so glad you have a BFF you can call when things go a bit sour with your man.
Keep us posted about your Granddad.
