Friends

Over the past four weeks, it's amazed me how our friends have stepped up to help us out. We've had tons of people from our church make food for us, we've had lots of visitors and phone calls and even a care package from my brother and his family.

Although we've always thought we have great friends here, you never really realize just how many people out there care about you until a surgery or something tragic takes place. Our church family has been wonderful. They have really stepped up to the plate and have made sure that we are taken care of during this time. Steve and I have both vowed to try and pay the kindness we've received, forward, to others.

Last night our friends from church Kaye and Joe came over. Joe LOVES to cook and doesn't know how to cook fro just he and Kaye. Last night he brought us homemade lasagna, chicken and mushroom rice and then some home made macaroni and cheese for Tanner. To top it off, they picked up a couple of pizzas on the way over so we got to have dinner with them as well. Kaye and Joe are older-they could be my parents. They are so stinking cool though and we love them dearly. It was so sweet of them to come over. We had such a good time.

Friends are a true gift from God. I thank God daily for the people that He has put in my life. I also try to make sure my friends know that I love them and are thinking about them. All it takes is a quick phone call, a card of some sort, or even just meeting for lunch somewhere.

Make it your goal this weekend to tell someone how much you love them and value their friendship.
