This time tomorrow..............

I'll be in NEW YORK CITY!!!!

Holy cow, as excited as I am, at the same time, I'm really sad at the thought of leaving my family. Tanner goes to her Dad's for her first two week visit of the summer, so she wouldn't be around anyway, but I just hate the thought of being so far away from the ones I love. I'll be fine once I meet up with Steph and the rest of the gang-it's just the anticipation of saying goodbye.

I had today off, thank goodness. I was supposed to work half a day but I'm so thankful that I went ahead and took the whole day off. I feel like we (Tanner and I) were really productive and got lots done.

Tanner had another softball game tonight. She was the first one to bat, had one strike and two balls and then got hit in the back. The ball bounced off her shoulder blade. Yea, that hurt! She did good though-she looked at me and then took her base. You knew she wanted to cry, but she didn't. She ended up making it to home and scoring a run.

The second time she was batting, she had two balls and no strikes. The next pitch....got her in the ankle and she got to take her base. You have to understand these girls are just learning how to fast pitch and bless their hearts, control is not always the best. Tanner doesn't typically move out of the batters box unless the ball is coming at her face, which makes both her Dad's proud. She's not afraid, that's for sure!

So needless to say, it was an exciting game/evening. We won 9-2 so that's all the girls cared about! We only have two more games and then the season is over.

The Dr. called Steve today and needed to move up his surgery. He goes tomorrow for his pre-op stuff at the hospital and as long as that all comes back ok, he will have surgery on Friday the 13th (freaky, huh!). I'm glad that it's moved up and I know he is too. They say the first two weeks are the worst, but after that, it gets easier. Steve's just ready for the pain to go away. Please keep the prayers coming.

I'm off of here to finish up a few things and then go to bed. Have a fabulous weekend-I'll "see" ya when I get back!
