The Weekend

Ahhh....it's Sunday night and I'm sitting here with all my weekend chores done, chilling out, watching the Country Music Awards. I feel so good because I feel like I've accomplished a bunch of stuff this weekend, plus had some fun too. I love weekends like that! It was a great, productive weekend for sure.

Yesterday, I got up and went to the Pinnacle Promenade. It was so nice because it was just ME. No one else with me-no Tanner, no Steve (although both are good shoppers), no friends...just ME. I started at Starbucks and got me some Chai tea and then proceeded to just meander into any store I wanted. I was up there for close to five hours. The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect day to spend outside.

I went to New York & Co and spent part of my gift card that I got for Mother's Day. I had so much fun in there because everything literally was on sale at least 30% off. I also had a coupon that saved me $25 off a purchase of $75 or more. I tried on a ton of stuff. I ended up with four shirts, a pair of shorts, a headband and a skirt for $67-including taxes! I still have money left on my gift card too! I was so excited.

I also went to Dillards. See, a few weeks ago, my friend Holly blogged about going to Dillards and getting fit for a new bra. Ever since I lost 25 pounds two years ago, I've had a hard time finding a bra that fits the way it's supposed to. I guess my waist size was not the only thing to change-my boobs did too. Who'd have thought? Anyway, after reading about Holly's bra fitting experience, I decided to try it. OH MY GOSH she was so right-it was such a fun thing! The lady that did the measuring was so helpful and kind. And the dressing rooms at Dillards-holy cow, i felt like I was a queen! I'm not joking, I tried on 20 bras yesterday!! I walked out with three new ones and I'm telling you, I've never been so excited to put a bra on as I was this morning. Doesn't take much these days to make me happy I guess.

I spent the majority of the day shopping yesterday and just had a ball. I didn't worry about the time, didn't worry about doing anything except enjoying myself. I even had a cookie and a coke for lunch-didn't care that it wasn't healthy-I figured I was doing a lot of walking around, so who cared! :)

Last night I cleaned the house and got the laundry ready to be washed today. I was tired when I got home but I wanted to be able to basically do nothing after church today, so I went ahead and cleaned the house after I fixed dinner. It wasn't so bad.

Today was church then I came home, started the wash and took a Sunday afternoon nap. See what I mean about this being a great, productive weekend!! Right now, the laundry is done, Tanner is with Mike for the night and Steve's in bed-all is well at the Parker household for sure.

I hope everyone has had as good of a weekend as I have. I think I'm going to go eat an ice cream sandwich now. The perfect ending to a perfect weekend!!!
