Results.......Finally

What a week it's been trying to get results of Steve's MRI.

The Dr told him last week to call on Monday and get the results and they'd refer him to a neurologist. We called on Monday-nothing. We called on Tuesday. They had the results, they'd call before the end of the day. Nothing. I finally called mid-morning on Wednseday. The receiptionist got irritated and got the results and read to them to me. I thanked him for the information and asked to speak to the nurse because we had a few questions. You'd have thought I asked to rule the world. UGH! So the nurse finally called me back and was not helpful at all. She acted as if I had really interrupted her day. I know they are busy-I used to work there-I remember what those days were like. BUT...don't take it out on me, when we are just doing what the Dr told us to do-call and get results. Oh well, we got them and that's all that matters, right?

He has degenerative disc disease and a protruding disc. The original neurologist they wanted to send us to, I didn't like. I've heard some very disturbing things about this particular doctor so I had reservations about going to see him. Plus, I had already checked and you couldn't get an appt before July. I asked about a Dr that a friend from church works for and this same Dr just operated on a friends back and they gave the him a great recommendation. Our family Dr had to refer us to the neuro before we could make an appointment. As of yesterday at 4:30, that still hadn't happened. Frustrating.

Thankfully...........our friend that's the nurse for Dr. Gallaher told their schedule person that she knew us, therefore they decided to go ahead and make the appoitnment without the referral. THANK YOU JESUS!! and THANK YOU KENDRA!

We go Wednesady, May 21st at 10:45. I'm so thankful that we don't have to wait months before getting in to see someone. I'm praying that when we go on Wednesday we'll have a few answers and maybe a plan of action as to how to treat this.
