I forgot......

to give you an update on my grandparents.

If you remember, Gpa's blood counts were going up, which meant the chemo worked. The blood dr was going to have him do another bone marrow test this week and then decide whether he needed more chemo or not after that. Well, this week his counts started dropping again. They thought he'd need another transfusion, but decided at the last minute that he didn't. Because his numbers are dropping, she (the blood dr) is going to skip the bone marrow test and go straight to chemo. He starts Monday. Of course everyone is worried about him and how well he will handle this second round. We are all just crossing our fingers and saying lots of prayers.

Gma....well, she isn't doing so hot herself. Of course she won't tell you that, but you can tell. She's full of fluid, despite her every other day of treatments. Mom said my Aunt that helps take them to appts and stuff thinks that Gma needs to be in the hospital, but Gma has said that she will NOT go. Mom and Steve seem to think that when she gets bad enough that she'll go, but I'm not convinced of that. I called her tonight and she was very winded and out of breath. She couldn't hardly carry on a conversation. She told me she was fine, but again, she won't tell me (or anyone else) that she doesn't feel good. The home health nurse was out today and didn't say she had to go to the hospital, so that's good I guess. This weekend will be interesting. The more fluid she has the less she sleeps-that's usually when Gpa takes her to the hospital.

So once again, I ask for your prayers for my grandparents. I hope they still have enough energy to fight just a little bit longer. Thanks!
