Update

Can I just say that I'm so thankful that today is over?! I've never been so relieved to get in bed as I was tonight. Man, it's been a long day!

I met with the Dr's today regarding the MIL. They were going to do MRI today and then we'll meet again tomorrow. She's got a spot on her brain that they are unsure about and the MRI will help to determine what that is. If the MRI comes back "normal" then chances are she's going into the early stages of dementia. We'll know more today.

Steve and I went to the MIL's apartment this afternoon and started cleaning junk out of it. Holy cow, talk about overwhelming. We were there five and a half hours and honestly, it doesn't seem like we've made a dent in it. I'm going to go in to work early tomorrow, get a few things done, then will go the hospital to see the Dr's then back to the apartment to help Steve some more.

I'm really proud of the way my dear worn out husband is handling all of this. I will be the first to admit it's very overwhelming right now, but Steve is handling things far better than I ever thought he would. I'm just thankful that we are married and able to go through all of this together. That's a blessing right there.

We stopped in at Steve's Dad's house today. I just love that man! He's so dang cute and he looked great! He made a commerical for the place where he lives (Spring Meadows Apts). Those of you reading this in the NWA area-watch for the commerical on the cable channels. We've seen it a couple of times and Tanner saw it last night as well.

Tanner did great on her Algebra test this morning. She called at 3:00 and said she had thrown up three times and needed to be picked up. Tonight is her night at Mike and Jill's and I couldn't get ahold of her, so I ran and picked her up. I think she ran too much in PE, causing her to throw up. At least that's what I'm hoping! She scared me half to death in the car because she said "Mom, I had to spend some time in ISS today." My foot hit the brakes and I turned around to her and said "WHAT?" She grinned and said "That's where we took our test." The turd! :)

I really think God is playing a joke on me or something. All of this is going on with the MIL and I'm trying to stay strong both for Steve and his sister. I've always said that I can handle everyone else's crisis, just not my own. Well by golly, I think God's idea of what I can handle and my idea are two differnt things. Today while we're cleaning out the apartment, after I get back from dropping Tanner off with Jill (her step mom), a lady comes to the door and asks if it's Jan's apartment. I say yes and said Jan was in the hospital so we were there cleaning things up and out. This lady comes in the house and says "I know who you are Shelly-I'm Charlotte." Charlotte is Steve's crazy EX-MIL!!!!! She and Jan have remained friends and Charlotte was just stopping by to say hi. I about fell over. Carlotte and the friend that were with her stayed for about ten minutes then left. UGH! Of all people to show up while we're there. Oh well though, what are you going to do?

I'm off of here. I've rambled enough. Time for bed. I'm so happy that tomorrow is Friday, even if I do have a long day ahead of me. Friday means it's Starbucks day for me! MMMM.....I can taste it now. G'night
