Mom and Dad celebrated their 40th wedding aniversary at the end of June. For their 40th, they decided they wanted to take all of us kids and grandkids out to a nice dinner. As Mom said "Without you kids, the last 40 years wouldn't have been as great."
So we dressed up Saturday, July 3 and went to Johnny Cascone's for dinner. For those that don't know, Johnny Cascone's is a very nice, elegant Italian resturant. We were treated like royalty from the minute we were seated. We had a great waiter, the Chef came out to talk to us, and Mom and Dad got a complimentary desert in honor of their celebration.
It was so nice to sit and have a nice dinner together. It was nice for all of us to be together in one place and to laugh and just hang out. Matt and Tammy even got to be there. I loved it because my Daddy looked just like my Grandpa would when we'd all get together. He sat at the head of the table and just grinned the whole night knowing all his kids and grand girls were there. It was a wonderful night.
