When Tanner learned she was going on the Williamsburg/DC trip, she also learned that you can contact your State Representative and ask that a flag be flown over the Capitol on a certain day (who knew!?). She originally wanted a flag flown the day they were actually at the Capitol but instead decided to have one flown in honor of her birthday, Jan. 4.
What Tanner and Steve are holding in the upper left hand picture, is the flag that was flown in honor of Tanner's birthday. How cool is that!? It cost $20 and was worth every penny when I saw the look of excitement on her face as she opened it.
We have no real plans for it, but that's ok. I'm not too worried about. Steve showed her how to fold the flag properly and we'll get a case for it soon to store it in.
This would make a great gift for someone who is very patriotic, Military, etc.
