First Day of PT

Here's my funny girl this morning....chillin' out with her machine and her KU Jayhawk hat.

Today was the first day of PT for Tanner. This is her PT, Jason, getting the initial paperwork done before changing her dressing.

Look at all that dressing! No wonder her knee looked so huge!

There's her knee without all the dressing on it. Pretty cool, huh?

Jason cleaned her leg all up and put steri-strips over the three holes. We then proceeded with "Torture Hour" as Tanner calls it.

We were at PT for about two hours. It hurt, but overall, she did really well. I was so proud of her! She cried a couple of times, but hey, who wouldn't? She is a trooper, I'm telling you. Even though we had to change PT's, she seemed to really like the new one, Jason. He was great with her and truth be told-I almost think Tanner was flirting with him-AHH!!

By the end of PT today she was walking as close to normal as she has in the past nine weeks. He also had her knee bent at a 80 degree angle, which is the most it's bent in the past nine weeks. Jason said she's got a big job ahead of her, but he feels like with PT being three times a week, for at least four weeks, she'll be back to "normal" in no time!

Praise God!!
