Bride Wars

Tanner, Jill and I went to see Bride Wars this afternoon. My word, it was THE funniest movie I've seen in a long time. I told Steve it was probably one of my all time favorite movies. We laughed and laughed throughout the whole thing. And I'm not talking just a chuckle, but belly laughs, folks. It was so stinking funny!! (I loved hearing Tanner laugh so much throughout the whole thing. It was too cute!)

I think one thing I liked so much about the movie was the setting. It's set in New York City around Central Park and The Plaza Hotel. Since I was just there in June and I was in Central Park and know where the Plaza hotel is...it was as if I was there in the movie. I can't really explain it but it makes shows so much more real now when they are set in New York City. I have to say though that seeing Central Park and the different places around New York in the movie made me want to go back to New York even more now!!

Speaking of New York....my bestest friend in the entire world that I went to NYC with is pregnant and due the first of July. There will be no New York City reunion this year. It's sad in a way because we want to go back soooo bad, but at the same time, I'm so happy that I'm going to be an Auntie again! We have already decided and told the boys that we are definitely going back in 2010!! Watch out NYC!!

We are all sitting in the living room right now watching the Miss America pageant. One of my fondest memories as a kid was watching beauty pageants with my Dad. We'd "judge" each of the girls together and of course "critique" them as well. Now Tanner and I are doing the same thing. Kind of funny, the things you experienced with your parents and now you experience them with your own kiddos. (Steve's over in his chair with one eye on the tv and one eye on his Nintendo DS game-silly boy!)

They are predicting a good size winter storm here Monday night into Tuesday. I'm sure, just like any and all other "storms" that come through Arkansas, this one will miss Springdale. I'm sure Rogers, Fayetteville, Huntsville and Siloam Springs (all the surrounding towns) will get hammered and Springdale will stay dry as a bone. Nonetheless though, all three of us are hoping and praying that we get a good dose of winter this week. We're praying for cancelled school and cancelled jobs. We'll see what happens.

Steve laughed at me earlier because we were talking about this alleged winter storm and I asked him what time it was supposed to start Monday. He said late Monday night. My response? "Oh good...as long as it starts after our Bachelor watch party, we're good." He got a kick out of my priorities. Hello-Monday night is the Bachelor watch party with my girls-we can't miss that!!

I suppose I should get off of here and go put my jammies on. Until next time........
