Man, oh man, it's been a great weekend. I can't say that enough. We've had so much fun together all weekend long! It's hard to think that tomorrow is back to the grind! Oh well though. Our weekend was definately worth it.
Want to know the best part of our weekend? We did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. We stayed in our jammies the majority of the time and just enjoyed each other's company. Sure, I did the laundry and cleaned the house, but as far as going places-yea, that didn't happen until 3:30 today when Tanner had to go to Motion practice at her Dad's church. It was so nice.
I really thought that I'd get kind of stir crazy being here all weekend long. I like to run errands on the weekends. Not this weekend though. It was so nice to just hang out, sleep in, cook, eat and just hang out together.
This morning Steve got up (again!) before I did. I heard Tanner's door shut at 8:00 and then rolled over and went back to sleep. I heard Steve get up a few minutes before 9:00 and shut our door, but I decided to go ahead and get up anyway. He was going to cook us breakfast and I have to be up awhile before I eat, so I thought it'd be a good idea to get up and prepare myself for a big breakfast.
And a HUGE breakfast we had, let me tell you! My hubby made eggs (fried for me, omelets for he and Tanner), bacon, homemade hashbrowns and biscuits! Oh my word it was so stinking good! He and I have a deal that whoever cooks, the other one cleans, so I cleaned the dishes and the kitchen then sat down to a little computer work.
This afternoon Tanner and I worked in her room and went through all of her winter clothes. The kid has grown (imagine that) since last year so she's going to need a few things this winter. Luckily she won't need a whole lot. We got all her summer stuff put away, her closet organized, her dresser drawers organized and her clothes for the week picked out. I felt accomplished when we got done and so did she!
Before taking her to Motion, we ran into Walmart to pick up a few things. Thank goodness I didn't see anyone I knew! I had on my yoga pants, my long sleeve KU t-shirt, Steve's KU ball hat and my glasses. No make up. Hair pulled back under the hat. Yea, it was scarey. I'm suprised Tanner didn't want me to stay in the car or walk ahead of her so no one would think she was with Me! :)
Dinner was good and now we have all had our baths/showers and are settled in to watch a few tv shows before going to bed. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous.
Blessings!

Sure does sound like a great weekend! I'm thinking that might be a fun weekend for us! Of course it would have to be a yucky weekend outside otherwise none of the boys, including Jeff, would go for it! But I know Kaylie and I would be all over it! (We do it too often as it is, we've just never made it a game! :oP )
