Two Days in a Row

I've had two good days in a row! I don't remember the last time that happened-it seems so long ago!

Work has been stressful this week. My Sgt. has been working the streets this month to cover for a Sgt. that is on Military duty. It's been so nice. My Sgt. is a nice guy, but is very difficult to work for. (My favorite Sgt. ditched me two years ago for a promotion-he got promoted and sent back to the streets. We even offered to make up the pay difference on his paycheck if he would just turn down the promotion, but no............he had to go and accept it and ditch me.) My partner and I have discovered several things over the past week that were supposed to have been done and come to find out they weren't. Therefore, we've had to scramble and try to pull a few things together so we don't look like total idiots to Standards. My Sgt. comes back on Tuesday and next week will be even more stressful of a week, but guess what-I've not let it get to me this week! Pretty cool, right? I sure thought so! I've just decided that in the grand scheme of things, work is NOT worth the stress.

Check out this picture Matt sent us:

When he and Tammy went back to Warsaw yesterday, the Sheriff's Office that he works for gave him this "trophy." After the accident, they went back to the scene and picked up the last remaining piece of Matt's car that was still intact-a hubcap-and had everyone, fire, police, EMS, dispatchers-sign it for him. How stinking cool is that! I'm so happy that his S.O is supporting him and rooting for him as well as everyone else. I know that means a lot to him.

After work tonight, I went over to Jill's (Tanner's step mom) and had a Mary Kay makeover. I already wear Mary Kay, but Jill sells it and was wanting to do makeovers on people. I, not being one to pass things like that up, jumped at the chance. It was so fun! I know, weird, right-me hanging out with Tanner's step mom? We hang out quite a bit actually and since Mike was out of town, this worked out perfectly. I love the way that she does makeup and she's more brave than I when it comes to that type of stuff. Another girl from work went with me and we just had so much fun, laughing, hanging out and being girls. Thanks Jill!

Tanner got her screw put back in her jaw this afternoon. Let me just tell you, that child SCREAMED throughout the majority of it. I don't think the Dr got it as numb this time as he did last time. I felt so bad for her though because she just cried and cried and there was nothing I could do except hold her hands and remind her to breathe (she was holding her breath). Poor kid, she's such a trooper!

I'm off of here to do some more surfing and then to bed. I'm horribly tired all of a sudden and am thinking I won't last much longer.

Nite!
