Turn Around

Ya know, I woke up on the grouchy side today. Not sure why-could be lack of sleep, could be stress, could be the fact that my hubby was once again hogging the bed. Nonetheless, it didn't start out to be a great day.

Anyway, my day turned around somewhere around 1:00 this afternoon when I got a phone call from Matt. I'm telling you, he sounded so good. This was probably the best he's sounded since the accident. And get this-they were in Warsaw too! I'm so proud of him! He said being there was "weird but ok." He had eaten this morning and that had stayed down. I gave out his email address to some friends that I knew were praying for him and asked them to email him and encourage him and let him know they were praying for him. He said he's enjoyed reading them and they've really helped encourage him along. They were going back to Mom and Dad's tonight and will stay there until his next Dr's appt.

I'm telling you friends, when I got off the phone with him, I was on cloud nine. And a teary cloud nine it was-although they were happy tears for once. YAY! I've been in a good mood ever since. It's 11:00 now and I just talked to Matt again and he still sounds pretty good-tired, but hey, who isn't, right!?

I also got my hair cut today. Not only did I get my hair cut, but I got me a new hair style as well. It's nothing drastic, just a little different is all. It was either that or I cut it all off and something tells me I wouldn't look good bald. So I got layers and bangs. Long, sweep over to the side, bangs. I really like it, although that may all change in the morning when I have to fix it myself. Nonetheless, it's different and I no longer have the urge to cut it all off.

Tanner is raising money for band. They are having a car wash and are asking people to either donate ten cents per car washed (they typically wash around 100 cars) or give a flat donation. She's so excited about it. She said "Mom, the person that raises the most money gets $100 cash and I'm going to try and win it." She continued "If I were to win the $100, I'm going to give it to Uncle Matt and Aunt Tammy because they could really use it right now." Oh my word, my heart just melted! See what I mean about my kiddo's heart-she's got such a heart for others and I am so proud of that! I hope she's always that way.

I need to get off of here and get to bed. At the rate I'm going, I'll still be up when my hubby gets home at midnight. Ugh. 5:00 is going to come soooo early! Oh well-it's been a good day..that's all that matters at this point.
