Matt

This is the only picture I can find that I have on the computer of my little brother Matt and I. This picture was taken back in September of 2007.

The look on his face cracks me up! He looks a little scared, huh? :) Funny boy.

I talked to him earlier today and he had just had "physical therapy from hell." He said they helped him walk down the hall (with a cane), up a couple of steps and also helped him sit in a car. He said it was "horrible." The pain meds they gave him before therapy didn't start kicking in until afterwards, so when I talked to him, he was pretty slurry, which was kind of funny. He's still in lots of pain, but at least he's able to talk, walk and well, just be alive. I love that boy, I tell ya. Love that boy.

He did tell me last night that one of his fellow deputies told him they found his gun 1/2 mile from where his car landed. 1/2 mile! I asked him if he was actually wearing his gun when he was going to the call and he said it was in his holster, on his gun belt, which was attached to his waist. I guess it came flying out with everything else when Matt started flipping.

Bless his baby heart. Ugh. Makes me ill to think about.

Isn't he cute though! Just want to pinch his cheeks huh? :)

Hey, I just found you BLOG. Very nice. Glad Matt is doing so good.
I have an idea for one of your problems on your blog from a couple weeks ago. You were trying to teach Tanner to clean. Well this is what I did. For everyroom I made a list of what to clean, for instance the bathroom, scrub tub, wipe off edges of tub, move everything on counter and wipe it off, put everything back----get the picture. This solved my problem, janece

Wow, Shel, 1/2 a mile! That is unbelieveable! I'm so glad he's alive too!!! That's too bad he was in so much pain from his therapy, but it must mean they think he's improving if they're pushing him that hard! Great pic. He's such a cutie! I'm sure the fact that he's young will help in his recovery. Take care of you! (((HUGS)))
