I just talked to Mom. They have done an ultrasound on Gpa today and found that he has fluid built up on the outside of his lungs. I guess this is part of what's causing his chest to hurt so much when he coughs. They are going to go in with a needle tomorrow and aspirate the fluid and see how that helps. I guess this is a fairly routine procedure and he should do just fine through it.
He's still not eating. Other than that, things haven't really changed. I did talk to my Aunt who was up there all weekend. (She lives in Joplin) She said Gpa would ask where Mom (Gma) was and my aunt would say "she went home to take a nap" and he'd ask "where's home?"
Today when my mom was there, she leaned down and asked him how he was feeling today. Without opening his eyes or missing a beat, he said "better now that your here."
Love that man. :)

Such a sweet man. I'm so glad he still has that part of his personality even though his memory is fading. Thanks for the update.
