Backwards Dinner

Tonight we had our dinner backwards. We had desert first and then the "real" meal after that. We so live on the edge when Steve's not here! HA!

I wanted ice cream tonight. I'm not sure what my deal is lately. Don't know if its PMS, or the fact that I'm leaving for New York in a week and I want my tummy big and ready to hold lots of food, don't know if it's stress, I don't know what it is, but I want to eat EVERYTHING in sight these days! Today, I couldn't decide on my one "treat" of the day-did I go to Sonic happy hour and get a cherry vanilla coke for half price (yummy!) or did I wait until after work and go get ice cream with Tanner? Well, I waited and boy was it worth it! (I'm getting my coke tomorrow though, dang it!)

Tanner chose to go to Maggie Moo's. YUM-O! We just got a Maggie Moo's and a Coldstone Creamry within the last few months. We've been to Cold Stone several times so T wanted to try Maggie's. Oh boys and girls, let me tell you, it was some good stuff! I myself had cake batter ice cream with brownies and strawberries mixed in while T had cake batter ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough in it. Umm....

Needless to say when we got home-yea, we weren't hungry. I gave Tanner a lesson on how to shave your legs on the side of the tub and then she ate a bowl of dry cereal and a glass of milk. So nutritious, I know. Oh well. You know, not eating great for a couple of days isn't going to kill her, right? She sure thought it was pretty cool to get to have ice cream and cereal for dinner and that's all that counts.

Funny little thing my girl said tonight. They got their yearbooks today so she was sitting on the couch looking at her yearbook (while I painted her toe nails-we got ice cream AND a pedicure-go Mom!). She looks up and says "Hey Mom, we have a kid named Jesus (pronounced it like the Man upstairs) at our school! It was all I could do NOT to laugh. I said "T, it's pronounced Hey-sus. It only looks like Jesus." "Oh" was all she said, as she shrugged and went on. Silly, silly, innocent girl. Gotta love it!

I'm off of here to head for the bath. I can feel a migraine coming on and I need to catch it before it really takes hold. I'm going to go take another pain pill and hope that will either a. take care of the pain or b. knock me flat on my butt so I don't feel the pain.

We'll see what happens.
